The Essence PR team flew over the pond for the beginning of the AW15 Fashion Month to join renowned session stylist and salon owner, Matthew Curtis and his Creative Team for their seventh season at New York Fashion Week.
Working with both men’s and women’s designers, Matthew and his handpicked talented team created and styled the looks for an impressive 11 shows. Matthew headed up eight shows, whilst stylist Raphelle Saint-Marshall made her first lead stylist role at the highly anticipated Charlotte Ronson show. Furthermore, male grooming expert, Harry Goodfellow headed up men’s shows General Idea and Billy Reid and also created the men’s look for the Orley AW15 showcase. The Creative Team’s seventh season at New York Fashion Week also marked newest team member, Alice Trout’s Fashion Week debut.
Effortless, lived in hair was all over the New York runways so be sure to have your salt spray and dry shampoo come September to re-create this relaxed look!
From social media, photography, coordinating product sponsorship and even assisting backstage when the pressure was on, Essence PR got more than stuck in.
Not only was it Essence PR’s role to support Matthew and his team backstage and coordinate press attendance, we also ensured show reports, exclusive quotes and hair how-to’s were created and shared with the UK beauty consumer press and hair trade press back in the UK.
Matthew’s omniscient presence at New York fashion week was covered extensively online, with Matthew dominating twitter feeds for the duration of the week. Furthermore, we have secured placement in future features about the AW15 hair trends to coincide with autumn beauty editorial.
Fashion Week has been fabulous; we have seen some beautiful hair, exquisite collections and lots of coverage.
