The Essence PR team was back at Men’s Fashion Week to support hair client, Fudge Professional for its fifth season as the Official Styling Partner at the AW15 London showcase.
Fudge Professional had another sensational season; creating both stand out hair looks for the models on the runway and the VIP front row guests.
Alongside creating the looks for seven shows, Fudge Professional hosted ‘The Fudge Fix’, a dedicated pop-up salon area based at the hub of Men’s Fashion Week. Managed by the Fudge Professional Brand Ambassadors, fashions’ finest were treated to complementary styling from an exclusive Fudge Fix LC:M styling menu.
The Fudge Fix attracted an array of VIP client’s from the world of fashion, film and music including indie film actress, Sophie Kennedy Clark who plays Philomena in award winning series, Game of Thrones and up and coming British actor, Jack Bannon, who starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game and Brad Pitt in Fury, and is co-starring with Cara Delevingne in this year’s Kids in Love.
There was a distinctive trend toward effortless hair across the seven shows Fudge Professional styled for this season, with Christopher Shannon, James Long, Matthew Miller and Craig Green all sporting the look. Hair at Lee Roach was an interesting contrast of matte versus high shine and the models at Belstaff rocked 1950’s quiffs, each styled differently so that no two models looked the same. Continuing to push runway boundaries, models at the Katie Eary show wore ‘dreadlock brain’s’ in a variety of colours mirroring the brain themed collection.
Essence PR coordinated hair trade and hair consumer press attendance at the shows, along with creating interest in the run up to Men’s Fashion Week and securing editorial features following the event. Furthermore, supporting the brands’ salon stylists is a key initiative, so Essence PR ensured the Brand Ambassadors involvement and hard work were featured in the hair trade press and also created editorial packages for their local media.
It has been another successful campaign, with coverage secured in all the key hair trade and hair consumer publications and regional media – in both online and in print.
Only four months to go to the next season in June – we can’t wait!
