We’re thrilled to announce that Clipso Watford has won a sort after place at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy London Regional Final that will take part throughout April 2014. This prestigious event showcases the best hair talent nationwide against a backdrop of a truly enthralling hair show.
The 59th year of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy is set to see Scott Halsey and Ainsley Quarmby from Clipso Watford within the regional line up of the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Ainsley directed the colour and Scott styled the overall look of the hair.
Ainsley said: “The look was inspired by atmospherics. The curl suffuses around the head which created a state of melancholy. Dark themes continued throughout the collection by opting for dark lips and contrasting crisp blonde hair to give an overall haunted feel.”
Hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the hairdressing industries most iconic names including, Sally Brooks from Brooks & Brooks, Charles Worthington MBE, Ken Picton from Ken Picton Salons and Chris Williams, International Colour Director from Rush.
The next stage of the competition, Clipso Watford must create a live model look and demonstrate an awareness for autumn/winter 2014/15 trends in just 30 minutes.
The overall winners of the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy will pick up a once-in-a-lifetime prize package which includes a photo shoot in London to showcase their winning look, a day training with an experienced session stylist, a fashion shoot with Elle Magazine plus much more.
Good luck, Clipso Watford!
