What: Essence PR collaborated with Space NK to host French hair colourist extraordinaire Christophe Robin for a two-day pop-up salon incorporating a press launch and customer event.
Why: The events celebrated the visit of brand founder Christophe Robin to the UK, and the launch of the new Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts to UK customers.
The press day saw a host of Beauty Directors, Editors and Digital Influencers visit the pop-up salon for one-to-one hair consultations and interview time with Christophe, hair treatments with the new Cleansing Volumizing Paste and blow dries with hair stylists from the brand.
Upon arrival, guests were transported directly to the Paris salon by the aroma of Taha’a – Christophe Robin’s latest candle collaboration with expert perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and the signature scent of the brand’s flagship. Christophe Robin Herbal Cocktails and Rosé Champagne were served. The decoration paid homage to the artisan design and craftsmanship of the Paris salon, and there were nods to the Rose theme throughout the space with pastel pink floral arrangements.
Guests were wrapped in oriental silk kimonos and escorted through to an intimate VIP room where they received hair treatments featuring the new Cleansing Volumizing Paste. Thereafter, hairstylists blow dried and styled guests’ hair with the Christophe Robin product range, demonstrating the incredible natural volume endowed by the new product.
The Space NK Pro-Team were on hand throughout the day to offer the guests makeup touch-ups and ensure they left the pop-up feeling their very best, and guests were handed a goody bag upon departure containing containing the new product.
The following day saw Space NK customers meet with Christophe for one-to-one hair consultations, which they’d booked in advance of the event following an e-newsletter from Space NK, and receive a tailored hair treatment in the VIP wash room.
After receiving a blow dry and style, customers made their way upstairs where they could redeem their £30 booking fee again a product from the range.
The pop-up salon events were the perfect way to celebrate the presence of adored brand founder Christophe Robin in London, reconnect him with media contacts, introduce him to a new generation of influencers and introduce him to customers old and new. The setting and decoration ensured guests were truly able to discover the magic behind the brand, and guests left in eager anticipation of the launch of the latest addition to the product range.
